What makes merch vegan?

A slogan on a shirt doesn’t make the shirt vegan. Truly vegan clothing and accessories avoid animal materials everywhere — not just in the fabric:

  • Fibres: no wool, silk, cashmere, mohair, angora or alpaca. Organic cotton, hemp, linen, TENCEL™ lyocell and recycled polyester are vegan.
  • Labels & patches: the “leather” patch on caps and jeans is often real leather — vegan pieces use cork, fabric or recycled materials.
  • Inks & dyes: some prints use animal-derived binders; water-based and PVC-free vegan inks don’t.
  • Glues & adhesives: stickers, shoes and bags can use animal glue or casein — look for a vegan adhesive.
  • Buttons & trims: no bone, horn or shell — corozo (tagua nut), coconut, metal and recycled plastic are fine.

Vegan merch: FAQ

What makes a T-shirt or hoodie vegan?

No animal fibres (wool, silk, cashmere, angora, alpaca), no leather or suede labels and patches, no bone or horn buttons, and dyes, inks and glues without animal ingredients such as shellac, casein or animal glue. Our merch is planned in organic cotton and recycled fibres, printed with water-based vegan inks.

Are stickers vegan?

Not always — some adhesives and inks contain animal-derived ingredients. Our stickers will use vegan inks and a vegan adhesive, and we’ll say so on every product.
